Induction into the Patrick Henry Society is a special way of honoring our alumni for their 50 years of steadfast loyalty to their alma mater. On April 24, 1986, the Patrick Henry Society at Hampden-Sydney College was formed by the 50th reunion Class of 1936. Members of the Class of 1936 believed that the name Patrick Henry Society gave dignity to this distinguished band of brothers and would be a most fitting way to honor all graduates in their 50th anniversary year and those who had passed through these gates in years prior.
One of the many benefits of the Patrick Henry Society event is the annual opportunity to renew friendships with classmates. The Class of 1966 celebrates its 50th Reunion on June 3-5, 2016. All classes having celebrated their 50th Reunion are invited to help welcome the Class of 1966 into their ranks.
